PITSA, the acronym for “Pray in the Spirit always” began on May 25th 2012 as a phone conference call to virtually reunite a team of praying students who had become physically distanced and separated from each other. While praying to know God’s will and purpose for him in the USA, Samuel Musong, a foreign student from Cameroon, received a burden to start a prayer network aimed to keep his prayer team on fire for the Lord by consistent prayer with a strong emphasis on Praying in the Spirit. That was how the name “PITSA” came about with Eph 6:18 as scriptural support. Over the years, PITSA has offered a rich platform where believers from different nations, cultures and backgrounds can grow spiritually, connect, interact, inspire one another, share prayer burdens, and share spiritual resources (books, videos etc.). Overtime, PITSA has an international scope with members and participants within both the USA and other nations across the globe. Aside from prayers, PItSA also extends into acts of charity to the needy and less privileged ones.
